Social Media Graphics

A sequence of Instagram stories I created for JOUR 3380, complete with several graphics.

For the third project in the course, our assignment was to conduct some original reporting and generate a series of social media graphics from it. I decided to feature a local flower shop, The Petal Exchange, and discuss the staff’s efforts to prepare for the fall — something that felt timely at the time of the project as the seasons were in a period of transition.

Using my reporting, I created a sequence of Instagram stories. Several programs went into the creation of the stories including Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva. I’m particularly proud of this project because of the photos I captured and the way I used the aforementioned programs to help incorporate what I’d learned so far in the course, including the importance of adding visual entry points and even which fonts to use to increase readability (sans serif ftw!)
