Thumbprint jam cookies are ones that I’ll probably wait to make until the holiday season, but despite that being months away, I wanted to include them because I’m very excited about making them. This past holiday season, I made tons of cookies and I think I’m getting pretty good at it, so I want to keep trying new things. This cookie recipe isn’t too far off from what I’m used to making, but there’s one major difference that sets it apart — the jam! I want to make my own jam for these cookies (I haven’t figured out what kind yet!) and pass them out to my family (who I will hopefully get to gather with this year!). My grandmother’s mother used to make her own preserves, so I’m really hoping to get a seal of approval from her.
